UPDATE: I am now all done with braces!! My orthodontic journey went so well with Dr.Aziz and team. I needed to get jaw surgery and my pre op... orthodontics were done so well that I had minimal time in the post op orthodontics. This is a result of both my surgeon and Dr.Aziz working together, but I could not be happier. I maintain the original 5 star review I wrote and strongly recommend going with Strathcona Orthodontics for all your orthodontic needs.Everyone at this clinic is kind, welcoming, and gentle with their approach to the orthodontic experience. Dr.Aziz is a fantastic orthodontist and extremely knowledgeable in her field. I had three other consultations with different orthodontists, and none listened to me and tried to get to the root of my jaw problem the way that Dr.Aziz did. This place is the best. From the first person to greet you through the door, to Dr.Aziz herself, everyone is friendly, attentive and professional.... Dr. Aziz formulates a plan, gives you the price upfront and executes with the help of her team. I've almost completed 4 years of braces & surgeries. Extremely happy with the results.They will try and work with you on payment plans if needed. They divided my costs, with no interest, over 36 months. A tough financial situation was met with a 3 month grace period with the payments added on the back end.The clinic is always immaculate. With the amount of time ive spent there over the years ive never seen any part of the facilty in a questionable state. Their attention to detail from the entryway, through to each team members work area is noticeable. The staff doesn't change. Absolutely phenomenal practice & staff. I’ve been coming here since 2007 when I initially got my braces, and have had to come in here and there for... an updated retainer etc. Strathcona Orthodontics is by far the most welcoming, accommodating and all around lovely practice. I have OCD and am VERY particular about things, and they do absolutely everything to make sure I am as comfortable and satisfied as possible. Dr Aziz and the Strathcona Dental Team have been great, during all my visit. From transfers of care up until receiving my treatment for Invisalign!... super excited and felt very welcomed. the team is super helpful.On the other hand, as for the financial concerns, not mentioning names, my experience have not been too pleasant. Not just once, but during all my visits.I understand everyone has their off day, but I felt like I did something wrong to anger or annoy this individual. I feel scared to ask for clarification about my payments. I understand my part for billing but it always great to be heard which I felt was not there. I didn't feel welcomed and valued as a patient. I felt that my concerns were unheard, and felt like a inconvenience. I was spoken to in a condescending matter. It has been affecting me and weighing on me. I thought about it thoroughly before a review. I just want to let it out. I hope this review can be respectfully taken into consideration.Working in patient care myself, I do my best to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and understood. I believe it is important to establish a good relationship between worker and client to make good connections.
